A “go-getter” is someone who is energetic, determined, and takes initiative to acheive their goals. With a positive attitude, they are resilient and able to overcome difficulties.
Our Go-Getters don’t sit at home and wait for someone to stop by for a visit. They come to our centre for a fitness class, play an afternoon of cards, enjoy a monthly luncheon, or share some laughs at one of our special events.

- All memberships are valid from January 1 to December 31.
- As one of the conditions of our funding agreement with Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), all members must complete a brief annual survey.

PLAY
It’s all fun and games with the Go-Getters!
We are always up for a game of cards; Euchre, Bridge, Canasta, Whist, and Cribbage are played regularly throughout the week.
LEARN
Go-Getters never stop learning!
Join us for our Spring and Fall Speakers Series where we feature in-person presentations on a variety of interesting topics.
EXPLORE
We all need a change of scenery once in a while!
Which is why the Go-Getters are always looking for a new place to go explore. Join us on our next adventure!
SUPPORT
There is always a Go-Getter ready to step up and help!
We couldn’t do everything we do without the support of our amazing volunteers. We have many volunteer opportunities if you want to help.
CREATE
Who knew the Go-Getters had such talent?
We regularly offer classes in such areas as painting, floral arranging, and writing. Have a creative idea for a class you want to take? Let us know!
MOVE
People gotta move!
To keep Go-Getters active we offer classes for all levels of fitness & mobility, including functional fitness & chair-based yoga.
One more thing…
Did we mention that we also offer one of Calgary’s best community Bingos?
Every Wednesday since 19xx the Go-Getters have been hosting some of Calgary’s most dedicated dobbers (or is that dabbers?) at our weekly AGLC-licensed community Bingo.
We feature a xx-game program with progressive jackpots, pull tickets, and a canteen with soup, sandwiches, and snacks available for purchase.
